When Krabby’s, a new seafood restaurant at The Barracks in Petrie Terrace, was preparing to open its doors, it faced a common challenge in heritage-style hospitality settings, ensuring accessible entry for all patrons. An older lift, installed by a different supplier, had been inoperable for approximately two years, leaving the restaurant deck inaccessible to customers with limited mobility.

The Solution

Axis Lifts was engaged to remove the existing faulty lift and install a new MPR one-metre vertical platform lift, designed to provide smooth and reliable access from the ground level to the restaurant’s entry deck. The lift was installed externally and offered a straightforward, no-frills solution that met compliance requirements and suited the tight installation timeline.
