The installed lift was chosen for its commercial capability, being an eight-person, 630 kg lift, which exceeds the minimum requirements for disabled access. This future-proofs the installation by providing more capacity than initially needed. One specific feature of this lift is its speed, travelling at 0.63 meters per second, which is particularly fast for such a short travel distance.
