Palmwoods Hotel approached Axis Lifts to replace their aging dumbwaiter, which had been in service for approximately 20 years. The existing lift had failed with an outdated control system, prompting the hotel to seek a modern and reliable solution.

Why This Lift?

The Daldoss MDL 300kg goods lift was selected for its compatibility with the existing shaft. This model matched the footprint of the previous lift, enabling a seamless replacement without the need for structural modifications, significantly reducing downtime and cost for the hotel.

Installation Details

The new lift was installed to serve three levels:

• Keg Room (Basement)
• Sports Bar (Mid-Level)
• Restaurant (Upper Level)

To support the hotel’s workflow and improve food service efficiency, a custom heating rack was included to help retain heat in meals during transit.
